Mount Desert Island is a small island off the coast of Maine. The winters are long, dark and cold, to stave off the urge to hibernate we will use any excuse to come out of our homes for a few hours. That is how this book club got started.
This book club began many years ago in the early 90's and over the years has had a very varied membership. Some original members still contribute. Many members have moved on or moved away to be replaced, but not forgotten, by new members.
This site is designed so we can all keep in touch, about the books we've read as a group, as well as the books we've read as individuals and want to share our thoughts and opinions on. We look forward to hearing from all our past members as well as other readers.
